dear sir / madam,
i am writing to you regarding the condition of the public footpath between albert road and the asda car park in retford.
this regularly used thoroughfare is constantly full of rubbish and represents a considerable health hazard due to the amount of canine excrement that is scattered all over the place.
we have had talks with the local residents who say they have complained about this matter before but it seems that no-one will take responsibility for the cleaning due to the fact that ownership of the footpath is shared between yourselves and bassetlaw district council.
i would have thought this made it a shared concern rather than one to be ignored and i would appreciate your views on the matter.
i have also written to bassetlaw district council for their comments.
